고흥에서 채집한 점토와 더불어 나무재, 도석 등 비정제 원료가 가진 아름다움과 개성을 덤벙 그릇에 담았다. 잿물, 철분, 모래 알갱이, 고르지 못한 입자 등 원료 고유의 성분들을 이용해 독특하고 풍부한 표현을 가진 작품으로 나타냈다.

Using clay collected in Goheung, along with unrefined materials such as wood ash and pottery stone, I sought to capture their distinctive beauty and character in vessels created through the deombeong dipping technique. By embracing the materials’ inherent qualities—including ash glaze, iron content, grains of sand, and uneven particles—I created works with rich and distinctive surfaces.
