I first learned to make ceramics through wheel throwing, and it remains one of the central methods in my practice. The wheel allows me to understand clay through rhythm, balance, pressure, and repetition, while giving each form a direct connection to the movement of the hands. Alongside my sculptural works, I have continued to produce functional ceramics designed for everyday use. These include cups, bowls, plates, serving vessels, and other tableware for homes, cafés, and restaurants.

In making functional ware, I consider not only the visual quality of each piece, but also its weight, proportion, durability, and comfort in use. I am interested in creating objects that naturally become part of daily routines and gradually develop meaning through repeated use. Variations in clay, glaze, firing, and hand-finishing are intentionally preserved, allowing each piece to retain its own character. Through these works, I seek a balance between practicality, material expression, and the quiet presence of handmade objects.
